i like the design pattern of the old Varsity tbh. At $3 to $4 a pop, this is the best entry-level fountain pen on the market. The Preppy in particular gives you a reliable refillable fountain pen at a price point similar to “disposable” pens like the Pilot Varsity. Platinum Preppy It has the looks of a neon-colored syringe, but the Platinum Preppy is more about comfort than aesthetics. It's a grown up pen. Looks like a toy.
